Auger’s Disaster Recovery Team First Responders for AK Tornado Repairs

When an EF4 tornado that devastated Mayflower, AK township in the Spring of 2014 required the expertise of a foundation driller, Auger Services was the perfect contractor.
Their Disaster Recovery Team is prepared 24/7/365 to assess the damage and move specialty equipment into place. Auger Services joined the deployment of over 400 utility construction contractors to restore transmission lines, distribution and substations as quickly as possible. Auger Services worked with sister companies Power Line Services and Air2.
Auger’s trained and certified professionals have extensive experience working in disaster recovery situations caused by tornados, ice storms and floods.
The PLH Group companies worked together to clear the access roads (Auger Services), transport poles to the job site (Air2), drill new support foundations (Auger Services), wreck out and replace damaged transmission line structures (Power Line Services).
For over an hour on April 27, winds at 166-200 mph tore a half mile wide path of destruction 41 miles through Arkansas. Businesses, schools and homes were leveled, 16 people were killed, making this the deadliest tornado in Arkansas since 1968.
